Step Up For Students is a Florida state sponsored, nonprofit scholarship funding organization that assists families in need with the opportunity for an education with the most appropriate learning options for their children. Crosspointe Academy currently accepts the Step Up For Students scholarship. Below are the 3 different programs that Step Up For Students offers and links on additional information directly to the Step Up website.
This is an income-based scholarship awarded based on a number of factors including Household Income and Family Size. Starting for year 2022, the policy has been amended to allow any family who has previously qualified for Step Up to continue to qualify, if they wish regardless of income.
The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities is different than the other scholarship options as it allows families to direct scholarship funds to multiple programs of their choosing. This can include schools, therapists, specialists, curriculum, technology and more.
The Hope Scholarship is designed for families who have had to report incidents of harassment, hazing, bullying, robbery, sexual assault and more. This scholarship allows the family to decide whether to use the funds for private school or transportation costs to a school in a different district.
Find the scholarship that best fits your family & visit the Step Up website to ensure you are eligible to apply.
Once you have found the scholarship that works for your family, apply through Step Up's website and submit the necessary documentation to complete the application.
Once your application is complete, Step Up For Students will review your application and documentation and make a determination on your eligibility for that scholarship. You may either wait for an email from Step Up or check the Step Up For Students portal for your given scholarship to check the status of your application.
If you are approved for a Step Up scholarship, notify the school immediately and submit the Award letters that include the scholarship identification number so that Crosspointe can complete the rest of the steps necessary to receive award funds and pay for your child's education.
